Happy 🌓Asthami or the eighth tithi (half-moon phase)! Day Eight of Navaratri and honoring of Devi Mahagauri ~ the purest form of Durgā Maa.
During the nine nights of Navratri festival, Hindus worship Devi Mahagauri, a goddess associated with love, fertility, and creation. She is known as shakti, the divine feminine power, and is also recognized as Parvati, Shakti, and Durga Maa in different forms.

Devi Mahagauir is a four-armed deity riding a bull, holding only one weapon of Shiva’s (her consort), the Trishul, representing the three gunas: tamas (ignorance), Rajas (passion), Sattva (bliss). She holds a damru [drum] in her hands, the drum that Shiva dances to.

Maha means “great” and the word Gauri means “fair”, her skin resembles her purity, compassion and caring nature.

From the physical seven chakras you extend into the 8th chakra, known as the soul star chakra, where you meet your Higher Self and Devi Mahagauir.

Goddess Mahagauri is all about purity, grace, and nurturing motherhood. Her serene presence inspires us to embrace these qualities and the significance of maternal love in our lives.
