New Moon in Aries + Krittika May 11, 2021

May 11th, 2021 New Moon Aries is a fire sign. Fire burns, purifies and transforms; it is hot, light and dry. In Ayurveda, fire is very important as it is responsible for digestion and metabolism. Sun + Mars are both fire planets relate to the dosha Pitta in Ayurveda + the subtle form of fire in our mind: Tejas. Notice how these energies play in your own body and mind. Judgement is out of balance Tejas. Non-discrimination is a healthy Tejas.

There may be some underlying anger + frustration felt during this time depending on where Aries is in your chart or if you have any planets in Krittika Nakshatra. There could be a resurgence of focus, a pump of energy (physically + mentally) and/or an inner radiance ready to bloom all seen during this new moon as the Sun is with the Moon/Mind. 

Krittka Nakshatra is the Nakshatra (star constellation) of this new moon. It is ruled by the Sun and it’s deity is Agni, the God of fire. Krittka’s symbol is a razor or dagger; that which cuts. Sun + Mars are both sharp and blunt, precise and exact. This nakshatra is great for cutting out what is not serving you. The illusions that we have created in our own minds can be sliced open, diced downed and digested by this fiery duo. There may be a lot on the mind and dissatisfaction may bubble up in your relationship realm. Offer up what feels hot, irritated and intense in your body and mind. If you are seeking transformation this is a supported time. To stoke the Agni Deity you can chant: Aum Agnaye Namaha. 

The process: I hand-cut knife's out of 14K gold-filled metal and hand-hammered the blade area. I then used the Sun's gemstones (Sunstone, Garnet + Pyrite) and Mars (Coral). I wanted the wear to be equally cool and adding Blue Apatite gemstones as a symbol to chill + of the sky. Please see the symbolism in the photo, as well as, the gems and their healing qualities.
