April 26, 2021 Full Moon in Libra

A Full Moon brings a Full Mind.
Emotions peak and you may become maxed out of energy or mentally and emotionally ready to pop! During a full moon, the sun and the moon sit opposite one another.
The Moon is the Sun’s reflection. The Moon is moveable, as we witness it change in the night sky from empty (Vata) to full (Kapha). It is considered feminine, receptive, yin energy and it has been appointed the mother of the cosmos while the Sun is the father.
This is a Libra Full Moon based on Vedic Astrology.
Libra is the zodiac sign of relationships and it symbolizes the scales of balance. Balancing of the material and spiritual realms, of right and wrong, it is the mediator and is able to see both sides of the story.
Libra “Tula” is ruled by Venus “Shukra,” a place of happiness. Tula desires beauty and comfort.
Being in a human suit, we came to this world as embodied Spirits “atma,” to experience relationships first with understanding ourselves then with others. Libra is a sign of social interaction and other people. Here we may put others first and ourselves second. When we learn the importance of self-love, only then may we find the balance and respect in all relationships. In turn, that connection becomes harmonious, when our balance of self-love vs giving is off we must reflect and adjust the scales.
In Vedic Astrology, we use 27 star signs known as “Nakshatras.” The Moon takes 27.3217 days to make one rotation around the zodiac, this is called a sidereal month. The sky is divided into 27 constellations called the Nakshatras.
Each Nakshatra has a ruling planet and a deity.
This Full Moon is in Svati Nakshatra ruled by Rahu and it’s deity is Vayu. Rahu is “peculiar” or “eccentric” energy and it is shocking and ungrounded as it is Vata (made of air + ether). Vayu, is known as breath or prana which is the life-giver. Svati is the 15th nakshatra, as we are that many days out since Navarati, the Indian New Year began on Aswini Nakshatra.
Rahu has an interesting perception, as it is a shadow planet of the moon. Svātī is known as the “independent one”, it is moveable like the wind and restless, like it’s deity, Vayu. Svati uncovers our talents and what makes each of us unique. In Libra, we may feel empowered to stand for what we love. Svati relates to the specimen of coral, a marine animal that produces its own offspring from within. In this cycle you may feel called to stand up in your individuality. Go at it alone, defining ourselves more and more. You may find yourself being called to tuning out the world of easy access and knowledge and tapping into your beautiful Self for deeper insight. Use the help of Vayu, to get in there. Breath is life and can change your state of being in an instance as it regulates the mind and body. This is a great time to begin a pranayama practice or download that Wim Hoff app if you haven’t!
Don’t let all this air energy sweep you away. Tony Robbins says, “when you’re in your head you’re dead.” Here’s your friendly reminder to drop into your heart and focus on the positive. If you are feeling too light, anxious and overwhelmed take time to ground. You can easily add more healthy oils into your cooking like ghee and try to eat less airy foods, like hummus, crackers and cookies. Enjoy more springtime root vegetables like daikon radish, beets and carrots with dandelion and mustard greens. Spend time in the water element to counterbalance the air, be it by the ocean or in the bathtub. Breathwork and movement are essential in this cycle!
These Svati Full Moon earrings were made exactly on the full moon of Monday, April 26th, 2021 with five minutes to spare. As Vayu is white, so is coral, which are the main gem of this creation. The coral to remind us of our inner strength and that we can do anything alone! The Full Moon is at the top of the earring hand-hammered in sterling silver. Below the coral gem is a hand-hammered sterling silver symbol of a scimitar, a sword is what Svati means. Four, the numerology of Rahu, Hessonite Garnet beads hang from it as does one teardrop Hessonite Garnet gem. White Coral is also a gemstone of Venus. Notice the peculiarities of Rahu’s energy at the bottom. Hessonite Garnet comes from the Greek word “hesson,” which means inferior – in reference to its form of a density and hardness which is lower than other forms of garnet. It is superior in its ability to attract wealth than other gems. Hessonite pulls in success and reveals new sources for financial opportunities. A stone of synchronicity, resonates with the Sacral Chakra.
