Jupiter’s Nectar · Bologna, Italy ~Amber Necklace
“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” ~ St. Augustine
In May of 2024, in a consignment shop in Bologna, Italy I found a broken bracelet of amber beads. I carried them home across an ocean and let them rest until they told me what they wanted to become.
Now they hang in three tiers, cherry-red, butterscotch, and deep cognac, on 14K gold-filled chain. Each tier is finished with small turquoise beads, and a moon slips down the back to keep watch behind you.
Trees are Jupiter’s. Amber is their nectar, sap that held still long enough to become light. Jupiter is the teacher, the expander, the one who says yes, keep going. Turquoise is the traveler’s companion. This is a piece for wearing on a threshold, a journey, or a season of growing into yourself.
One of one.
Once these beads are gone, they’re gone.
